How to make a decoupage on wood.
Supplies:
Wooden cutting board
Napkins for decoupage
Paintbrush
Acrylic paints
One step crackle
Glue stick
Decoupage varnish gloss
Sponge
Candle
Rope
Hot glue gun
The first step is to smooth the wood surface you are going to decoupage upon. You need to work on the surface until it is extremely smooth with no scratches.
Rub a candle backside of the cutting board.
Apply the first layer of acrylic paint.
And second layer
Apply the layer of one step crackle and leave to dry for 30 minutes. Apply contrasting color over entire surface.
Leave to dry for 3-4 hours.
Using the glue stick, apply a very thin layer of glue.
Cut out the pictures you are going to use for your design and glue napkin to the board.
Draw a shadow with black paint.
Stained surface with paint of different colors.
Use the dry brush technique to paint the edges. Apply the decoupage varnish gloss.
Tie a sea knot in a rope and glue to the board.
