Crochet Tutorial Ladybug Potholder

This easy cute crochet potholder Ladybug is the ideal pattern if you’re looking to work something in right now. 

You will need:

Acrylic or wool yarn of red and black colors
Hook crochet 3.0 mm
Needle
White felt
Scissors
Black marker

Inc – increase, dec- decrease, sc – single crochet, ch – chain stitch

The size of finished potholder is 14 cm/ 5.5″

Start with red yarn

1. crochet magic ring, 6 sc (in total 6 sc)
2. [inc] around (in total 12 sc)
3. [sc, inc] around (in total 18 sc)
4. [2 sc, inc] around (in total 24 sc)
5. [3 sc, inc] around (in total 30 sc)
6. [4 sc, inc] around (in total 36 sc)
7. [5 sc, inc] around (in total 42 sc)
8. [6 sc, inc] around (in total 48 sc)
9. [7 sc, inc] around (in total 54 sc)
10. [8 sc, inc] around (in total 60 sc)
11. [9 sc, inc] around (in total 66 sc)
12. [10 sc, inc] around (in total 72 sc)

Change yarn and start crochet the head

1 row. Crochet 11 sc, turn
2 row. dec, 7 sc, dec (in total 9 sc) turn
3 row. dec, dec, sc, dec, dec (in total 5 sc)

Don’t cut the yarn and continue crochet around.

13 row. 4 sc, inc, 11 sc, inc, 11 sc, inc, 5 sc, 12 ch, 1 sc into the same stitch, 6 sc, inc, 11 sc, inc, 11 sc, inc, 8 sc ( in total 80 sc)

Spots (make 6)

1. crochet magic ring, 6 sc (in total 6 sc)
2. [inc] around (in total 12 sc)

Embroider the central line and sew the spots. Cut eyes out of felt and sew to the head.
