Crochet Tutorial Fat Snowman

Your holiday decorating won’t be complete without crochet snowman amigurumi! 

This cute fat snowman would make a wonderful handmade gift for kids and adults!

You will need:

Hook 5.5 mm for snowman, 2.75 mm for nose, 3.0 mm for hat
White plush yarn (100g/131yards) for snowman
Orange cotton yarn for nose
Black acrylic yarn for hat
Safety eyes 0.3 in
2 buttons
Inc – increase, dec – decrease, sc – single crochet, ch – chain stitch

Size – 5.5 in

Arms (white plush yarn, hook 5.5)

1 row. Ch 3; 5 sc in the 3th chain from hook (in total 6 sc)
2 row. [2 sc, inc]*2 times (in total 8 sc)
3-5 rows. [sc] around (8 sc in each row)
6 row. Fold and crochet 4 sc

Body and head (white plush yarn, hook 5.5)

1 row. [Ch 7, inc in the 3th chain from hook, 3 sc, 3 sc in the last chain, 3 sc, sc in the last chain] (in total 12 sc)
2 row. [inc, inc, 3 sc, inc, inc, inc, 3 sc, inc] (in total 18 sc)
3 row. [sc, inc, sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, 4 sc, inc] (in total 24 sc)
4 row. [2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc] (in total 30 sc)

    HI! I’m pretty sure that the backing on your safety eyes is being put on backwards. I could be wrong, but thing about it if they were pulled on they are cone shaped and would pull out quite easily especially if over time your stitches loosened up. if you put them on like a cone around a dogs head, the dogs head being the eye, they would be less resistant to coming out of your fabric if pulled on. Just an observation in case anyone is using this for a child’s toy. 🙂 Happy Easter!!
