free_crochet_pattern_goose-6

He has very old and worn glasses.

But despite his bad eyesight, he loves to read morning newspapers.

He is very polite and always greets first and takes off his old hat.

He loves fishing.

Happy goose who lived a long restful life.

Thanks for sharing the pattern. I know a geek in the family who would love this. This pattern is definitely on my to do list. How did you make the glasses?

  2. DIY says:

Sorry but we don’t photographed how to did the glasses 🙁 It`s just thick wire twisted in two rings and connected with a thin wire

  3. Theresa says:

Love the goose. I am making him now and noticed a typo in the increases. The number of stitches for the increases doesn’t match the stitch total for the body and wings. For example r19 should read [5 sc, inc] around (21) instead of 6 sc, inc….

  8. Donna says:

Is there a pattern of the collar for the Lady Goose with written instructions?

  9. Donna says:

I completed the Male Goose, hat and scarf. Going to make the fishing pole and find a small bucket.
    Really COOL Goose!

  10. Tammy Holly says:

While he is very cute using a 4mm hook for all the bits leaves him very out of proportion, this got the better of me so I checked out the lady goose, you use a smaller hook for the eyes, feet and beak on her. Just wondering if the man goose was made the same.

  11. Bobbie says:

Another easy way for the bottom instead of making a separate piece is just do decreases down to 6 stitches and then close.
    1, BLO…[3 sc, dec] around (30)
    2. BOTH Loops from now on [2 sc, dec] around (24)
    3. [1 sc, dec] around (18)
    4 – 5. . [dec] around (12, 6)
6.. close the remaining 6 stitches

The goose is adorable and I’m just finishing knitting it. I’m missing a tip on how to sew a goose’s beak. Should the place where the stitches have been increased be on the side of the beak or, on the contrary, in the middle of the upper and lower parts. I can’t tell from the photo.
